and Areas of Expertise
John Coolican is a director in CFM Capital. His experience combines an in-depth understanding of the Technology, Media & Telco sector with execution in broader market M&A deals. Prior to CFM Capital John worked in Merrion Capital, which joined as a director on the Stock broking side when the company was founded, and later in the Corporate Finance side of the house. In this latter role he advised on several of eircom Plc’s major transactions (IPO, purchase of Meteor, sale to Babcock & Brown), he also advised US-based InfoNXX on its €90M purchase of Conduit Ltd. In his role in Media Team in Merrion he also advised on the sale of several radio and regional newspaper assets. Prior to Merrion John spent 5 years in Silicon Valley as a director in KPMG’s hi-tech consulting practice.
